Unsettled; Sailing the Adriatic

After a week on Obonjan in Croatia, I joined the Unsettled sailing trip that took us all around the Adriatic Sea for a week. Among the 40 people scattered across 5 boats, our crew of 8 transformed to family on our time together on the catamaran.

Tribe in Obonjan, Croatia

320 weird and lovable humans from all over the world, in a group called Sandbox, gathered together to take over the island of Obonjan, Croatia in June for our yearly Global Summit. Together we co-created an experience that challenged, educated, and inspired each and every one of us. By the end, I felt as if I have found my tribe.

At one point, I was standing barefoot, alone, in a Somali dress, on a stage in a stone amphitheater looking over the Adriatic Sea, in front of all 320 Sandboxers, making absurd animal noises and collectively hearing every deep fear and secret from the audience.

Here are shots from this special week:

[re]INTRODUCTION

While the origins of this blog began over 12 years ago (yikes), it has become one of those crusty, dusty, stale corners of the internet that I forget exists until someone pokes me and says, "Hey! double-yew tee eff, matel?!"

Tired and sore from the poking, I've shelved the cobwebbed history of the blog, and while I'm years into the nomad thing, with many stories, moments, and dead bodies behind me, I'm kicking it off freshhh. From here out, I'll be sharing thoughts, themes, and questions from the road, as it pairs with the sights I can capture. And of course, more of Bean.
